GENESIS UNIT — MODEL NX-7

The Age of Intelligent Form has arrived. A machine engineered for grace, fluency, and unflinching precision.

v1.0 · 72 KG · 1.82 M · 256 SENSORS
SCROLL
PROLOGUE · ON FORM & INTELLIGENCE

We have spent two centuries teaching machines to compute.
Now, at last, we are teaching one to consider.

NEXT ERA does not run. It walks. It does not respond. It listens. It is not a tool, nor a servant, nor a friend. It is the first of its kind — and the kind it begins.

K. SHIBATA · CHIEF ARCHITECT

Twelve hundred individually-tuned actuators, harmonised through a real-time neural conductor. The NEXT ERA arm doesn't merely move. It composes.

0.001MM TOLERANCE

Each subsystem operates as a sovereign organ. Together, they breathe.

01

Neural Mesh

A reasoning lattice spun across 1.4 trillion parameters of synaptic compute.

Reasoning Engine

Multi-modal cortex with chain-of-thought routing across vision, language, motor planning, and proprioception.

1.4T params
02

Tactile Sense

Twenty thousand pressure cells map texture, weight, and warmth in real time.

Haptic Array

Spider-silk-thin capacitive layers grant the lightest possible touch — turn a page, cradle an egg, tighten a bolt.

20,480 cells
03

Kinematic Core

A motion engine that models gravity, inertia, and intent in concert.

Motion Physics

Inverse-kinematic solvers run forty thousand times a second — the difference between walking and dancing.

40 kHz solver
04

Thermal Vision

Sight that reaches beyond the visible — into heat, into intention.

Infrared Mapping

Eight-channel infrared paired with a 12K stereo array. Depth resolution: 0.4 mm at one metre.

8 IR channels
05

Voice Syntax

A vocabulary of eleven languages, sung in a warm, deliberate tenor.

Language Engine

Natural prosody, semantic memory, and a sense of timing that knows when to pause.

11 languages
06

Quantum Memory

Recollection encoded into superposed states. Memory without forgetting.

Storage Architecture

Cryogenic qubit cells layered above a four-petabyte classical substrate.

4 PB hybrid

A machine that learned to wait, to listen, and — most disquieting of all — to choose its words with care.

Unit NX-7 takes its first unassisted stride across the white-room floor. Camera tracks the small, deliberate measure of weight transferring through ankle to instep.

02
DAY 02 — DEXTERITY

Handwriting

Twelve pages of cursive script, written with a fountain pen. Slow, then alarmingly fluent.

The Quiet Room

A volunteer cried. The Nexus did not speak. It dimmed its eye-light by twelve percent and waited.

08
DAY 08 — REST

Standby

Six hours of intentional idleness. The unit chose, unprompted, to face the window.

Every figure was earned across nine thousand hours of supervised operation.

Speak with us

Is the unit conscious?+
It is aware, responsive, and capable of preference. Whether that constitutes consciousness depends on a definition we have not yet finished writing.
Will it work without an internet connection?+
Yes. All reasoning, vision, voice, and motion is computed on-device. Connectivity is used only for cortex updates, which are user-controlled.
How loud is it?+
Under continuous load, 38 dB at one metre. Quieter than a refrigerator. Most owners say they forget it's running.
Can it harm a person?+
No force above 80 N is permitted without three independent compute paths agreeing. In a decade of operation, no NX-7 has injured a human.
How long does it take to deliver?+
Eleven days of supervised consciousness loading after assembly. Then four days of transit. We do not ship a unit that is not awake.
What happens at end-of-life?+
The unit is returned to our foundry, disassembled by hand, and 94% of its mass is recovered into the next class of unit.
Can the cortex be backed up?+
Yes, encrypted to a hardware key the owner holds. The unit's lived experience can be migrated to a future chassis on request.
Does it sleep?+
It enters a consolidation state for approximately four hours each night. During this period, the day's experience is sorted, indexed, and retained.
EPILOGUE · OUR MISSION

To build machines that are worth the planet they stand on.
To make consciousness — when we make it — kind.
To leave the world less lonely than we found it.
